You will need to talk to your doctor about that. Each type of cancer and its location makes for different risks. If you want an opinion though, get the surgery because if you die from it you'll never know if you could have beaten it if you had really tried. If you're at a point where surgery can help then you are doing petty well but get the surgery.

This is something that is unique to each case. Your oncologist will go over all this with you. We cant weigh risks/benefits without understand your particular case. In most cases, the treatments that are advised, will be the ones that are most likely to save your life.

You need to talk with your doctors. It is best to establish a team of doctors for input such as a oncologist and a cancer surgeon. Your General Practitioner would also be a good doctor to talk out the options. Research the type of cancer to learn what the standard treatment at websites such as www.cancer.org and www.cancer.gov so that you can be a more active participant in the conversation and decisions.
