Well you need to make sure that you are in fact NOT pregnant or else the cervical cancer treatment will either kill or extremely harm your baby... so I think you should get your doctor to do a blood test before any treatments are gone ahead with. Good luck.

first i'm sorry about the cervical cancer...go take a over the counter preggars test.let your doctor know before treatment that you fear you might be preggars.

My mom died of cervical cancer in 1997, and when she was diagnosed her periods became light, irregular and eventually stopped. Then she has a hysterectomy to rid her of the cancer, but it had already spread. It's very possible that this is the effect of the cancer, and not a pregnancy (if you have been using protection.) If not, I would start immediately. Treatments are much more effective and your system is MUCH stronger when you are not carrying a child. See your doctor immediately though and let them know what's going on--they will likely give you an ultrasound and blood test to be 100% sure before they start your treatments. Good luck with everything, I wish the best to you :)

You should definitely tell your Dr that you may be pregnant. I am sure they will do a test before treatment. Recommended treatments for cervical cancer are the same for pregnant women as for non pregnant women. Treatment for early stage IA cervical cancer may be delayed until after delivery if the pregnancy is in the third trimester. A vaginal delivery may be possible. For all stages of cervical cancer, treatment will be managed by a team of doctors specializing in cancer and high-risk pregnancies. The baby does not appear to be affected by cervical cancer, but treatment for the cancer may cause problems such as an early delivery or even the loss of the baby. Treatment will consider the recommendations for the specific stage of cancer, the development of the baby, and the mother's preferences.
