Where can I get chemotherapy and radiation treatment if I do not have cancer?
Why wait until a tumor is big enough to be found, why not just do it as preventative maintenance. Kill the cancer cells before they grow into anything larger and more dangerous. Other than feeling sick as hell while I do it, are there any downsides to this? I'm really not making a joke of this, I'm very seriously considering it.

there are about 300 different types of cancer and about as many treatments. So which one are you going to pick? Most cancer treatment are also harmful to your longevity so why do on healthy person. It is like having surgery to take out healthy appendix.

These are given by doctor orders only. If you can get a doctor to give the orders--fine. But you will not find a doctor to do this. There are many types of chemo--which kind would you want??? Where would you receive radiation. Head?? Toe?? It might appear in the colon. Then what??? Good Luck. I think you had better discuss this with your doctor.

First of all, trying to prevent yourself from getting cancer just by getting chemo and radiation is not a smart thing to do. Radiation is actually bad for the body and the same with chemo. They both kill all types of cells, not just cancer cells, (white blood cells, which are important to fight germs/bacteria). In the future, the result of all this radiation and chemo could lead to death, without even having cancer. Both of these things weaken the body.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why don't you go ahead and get castrated to prevent testicular cancer? Knittin, everyone doesn't have cancer cells in their body, they have cells that have the POTENTIAL to turn cancerous and that's a proven fact. Captain, I had both and I actually felt pretty normal through all of it. I took a zofran pill right before my chemo every day. Not sick at all. Radiation gave me dry skin and tan colored skin. I had some hair loss. But that's about it. Oh, I was a little tired also. I would much rather have those symptoms than die from cancer.

I did a lot of research on different chemo drugs before I started treatment for Breast Cancer. I was given what is known as "ACT" Adriomycin, Cytoxin and Taxotere. Adriomycin can cause permanent heart damage and if the IV infiltrates the vein while it is being administered, it can cause major burns requiring grafts. Taxotere, can cause neuropathy (Nerve damage). Just because you are afraid you might at some point in your life get cancer, is not a good reason to undergo chemotherapy or radiation. The communications I have seen on this site about everyone having cancer cells in their bodies is a bunch of bunk. Sure being diagnosed with cancer is scary, but getting chemo now will not prevent you from getting it, if ever, at some time in the future.

Chemo is bad for your body. Instead drink green tea nad eat healthy foods that may prevent cancer.

Chemotherapy not only kills the Cancer cells it kills a lot of other things to, No one in their right mind would want to have Chemotherapy, if they did not have Cancer,

Chemo is POISON to your body, and radiation kills healthy cells. Chemotherapy drugs make you feel like utter sh*t, it is absolutely like someone has poisoned you. There is no other way to explain the feeling. I would imagine a nice cocktail full of arsenic would give you a similar experience. It is not good for you in any way. I am positive that it takes years off of your life even if it does manage to help get rid of the cancer. And radiation is no better. It kills millions of healthy cells and might not ever even touch the cancer. Trust me, pal, you don't want that.

but if you dont have a tumor and you have chemo or radio then there is a chance that those two treatments could give you cancer, chemo kills nearly all cells it comes in contact with, not just cancerous cells how do you know you have a tumor anyway ?

Given that both chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer in the long term (are carcinogenic) this is definitely not a preventative measure. There are many forms of cancer. The particular form of chemotherapy is targeted to the cancer of the patient. Radiation is finely tuned to exactly target the site of the tumor, not given all over. Having been through both, there is no way I would do this voluntarily, and would have to give it a lot of thought if I develop cancer again.

It will be impossible for you to do this, no oncologist worth their doctor's diploma will do it, it would be against their ethics, and it is impossible. So I won't go into all the details on how it is a "poison" but the fact that no doctor will give you what you ask for is sufficient enough. There is no way any doctor would refer you to an oncologist without having cancer. NO Way!

the radiation damages cells and can cause leukemia and chemo could leave your immune system weak and you can die from infection the risks outweigh the benifits

hi, know what? i know where u are coming from. i mean from a person like me who thinks things in advance so i can sorta planned things ahead of time so as to avoid error and all?....sadly, life in this world doesnt work that way all the time. There are limitations as to how much we can plan ahead, how i really wish things were a lot different! i would have prevented everything bad from happening by taking the needed, necessary precaution ahead of its time. its like beating THE devil at its own race!...BUT, what makes this human race unique is the fact that we have to undergo the PROCESS to achieve things in life. that is the order of this journey we are all taking.,i think such is designed so that we, as human can participate in the/this PROCESS OF LIFE, in its proper order and in the manner things are supposed to follow......LAW OF NATURE......Thanks for asking cuz ive been thinking with that kind of question myself.......it might sound silly but as i said, I EXACTLY FOLLOW WHERE YOU ARE COMING......AND PROBABLY GOING........
