Anyone using Noni juice for natural cancer treatment?
I have metastatic melanoma and a lot of people have asked me if I'd like to try the Noni juice. Don't know if they're trying to just sell me something or if it really is advantageous. So, I've bought a bottle and am drinking it, certainly can't harm, getting built up for upcoming surgery. Anyone with experience on this juice (no sales pitches please) could you let me know?

I certainly don't know and I won't pretend that I do... but I thought I'd ask a small favor of you at this time, if you don't mind. There are so many things to think about and we're all so very much in the dark about them when it comes down to finding ourselves in your shoes - and plenty of us will. Could you somehow tell us what you think of the Noni juice treatment as you go through it... as you've said, "...it certainly can't harm." The real question is, will it help or will it just make you lighter in the pocketbook? Best wishes for a long and healthier life. ((( r u randy? ))) I've posted a second question that might bring additional answers. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060917114748AAAymsQ&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHwIbJjFeIzR1NooRAZOIKRP6mSVl7yio7VmuYhOY8T720zlBbdOZnUUI45fbXRtgQWvg--&msgr_status= .

I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in Dec of 04. I have heard of this, but don't know anything about it. I went to Mexico for treatment and I believe one of the keys to fighting cancer is building up your immune system. I don't believe it is one single product or item that will cure you, but a combination of healthy eating and suppliments to build up your immune system. I have been researching this for 20 months and have shrunk the tumors in my thyroid by about 10% through alternative medicine. I don't think Noni will hurt, but you need much, much more than that. Best of luck, knowledge is power and may God be with you.

I have Parkinson's disease, and had brain surgery for it. Soon after the surgery, I started getting hip pain. I couldn't tie my tennis shoes. I had to pick up the leg to get into a car. My brother had hip surgery about the same time. I thought I was having sympathy pains! But whatever it was, it hurt! I started drinking Noni juice. I had read an article about it's many curative benefits. My M-I-L worried I might have interactions from my other medications. I took a bottle into my neurologist and she gave me the go ahead. In fact, she said the body sometimes reacts better to nutrients found in natural substances than in chemical alternations. It keeps you regular, which helps with weight issues. I read in the article there were some brands that were better than others, depending on the processing. What you buy at a health food store may cost more, but it's processing is made from pure fruit and fruit picked at the correct time. The kind of Noni you get from Walmart is probably made from Noni fruit that was too ripe and therefore the juice's benefits were doubtful. My hip pain went away and has never returned. I like Noni juice! (I would take it in conjunction with your DRs. treatment regime if I were you.)

No, because it doesn't work. Always tell your doctor about any supplements you take, they can thin the blood and you can possibly bleed to death from surgery.

Many MLM marketers (including those very active on Yahoo boards) are taught in their sales training that newly diagnosed cancer patients are an excellent potential income stream because the newly diagnosed are still in shock and desperate for anything that might help. If you have money to burn and wish to help the income stream of whomever sold you the NONI juice along with their upstream distributors, go for it. But if you want treatment for your cancer follow your oncologists instructions carefully, including telling him you are drinking NONI juice. If NONI juice really worked there would be many people who are not selling the juice attributing their cancer cure to NONI juice and the story would be headline news on CNN. That's not the case since everyone making these fantastic claims also happens to be selling NONI juice or something similar. Multi Level Marketing means 45% of the sales cost goes directly to whomever sold the product to you, 45% to whomever sold the product upstream from them, and 10% to cover actual costs and shipping. If you want to enjoy NONI juice, go on vacation to Maui or Jamaica and drink or eat your fill from the fresh fruit. At least you will have your vacation to remember plus the knowledge that you weren't paying someone to pull your leg.

I used to sell Noni. It's toxic to the liver and kidneys. I know of a natural supplement that MIT says will change the world of health care. It is also being taught at Oxford and John's Hopkins.

Heard of it, never tried it. Lately I've been hearing about products recommended for cancer patients and recovering cancer patients to use that have mangosteen in them. Supposed to be better, and a friend wants to show me the scientific data since I'm in the recovering cancer patient category. No surgery, but chemo has long-lasting effects.
