Radiation treatment gets rid of the cancer cells in the specific area it is being directed in if the radiation is intense enough. But of course, being too intense, it not only kills off fast dividing cells, but also normal cells as well. The problem is that radiation treatment does not always get rid of ALL of the cancer cells left over in the body because there is a chance that the cancerous cells have metastasized (spread) to other regions of the body, in which case, the specific area targeted by radiation does not treat the area that it has spread to via the lymph vessels and blood stream. Having an MRI will determine where in the body the cancerous cells are so that your physicians can determine the area of treatment, as well as determine the growth, size, and spread of the tumor. Hope this helps!

Yes. Radiation helps to clear up what might be left over after a surgical procedure that remove an abnormal growth. It minimise the chances of a relapse thou not 100%. It also depending on the staging of the cancer at the point of the diagnosis. At time chemo therapy is required too. MRI is like a Xray and a CT scan but much more advance. It can produce a much more detailed image of the body organ. Very often it's use in the study of the brain for patient who is suspected of any injury or growth... eg. a clot in the brain that might cause a stroke. Or a Head injury that might cause a swelling that compress on a certain cranial nerve which can affect the speech or memory etc..

If I were in your position (by the sounds of your question) I would be drinking 2 to 3 ounzes of a g3 by www.antioxidants.mypharmanex.com to help boost my immune cells and make the existing good cells strong. If you have no more cancer cells left then also remember there probably is no guarantee with anything, some say keep zapping the body but your also killing good cells, some say stop and make the good cells strong then they'll also have the power to zap out an invader or free radical. Doesn't sound like your in a good place either way, God Bless You and be strong.
