can cancer treatments speed up cancer growth in some cases?
Is this possible? Say if you had a slow growing cancer and you went down the agressive route of chemo or radiation to get rid of it and you thought it had gone but then it comes back a few months or years later, could it be because of the treatment? Is it possible that chemotherapy or radiation can actually cause cancer to grow in a minority of cases? Or is there no way that this can happen?

Radiation and chemotherapy lower your immunity drastically and that makes it possible for a lot of things to attack your system, including cancer.

Cancer treatments are not going to worsen the existing cancer . . . however, in specific individuals, the treatments also may not help to the point of eradicating the cancer, so thus it comes back a few months or years later. VERY unlikely that a specific cancer treatment for one type of cancer would cause another type of cancer down the road, since even radiation therapies are very narrowly targeted.

Cancers mostly grow fast and usually have had spread to other parts before the treatment is started. Mostly they are undetected initially in certain parts. After the therapy is stopped, they grow and appear in any part of the body.. In surgery, there is chance that detached cancer cells get migrated to other parts and grow there.

No not at all in fact quite the contrary. I had a very fast growing and aggressive breast cancer. After surgery and treatments, I am considered cancer free. So go with the treatments and forget what people tell you about it causing more cancer. The only way that happens is when a cancer cell escapes treatment and will show up somewhere else sometimes years later but it's not caused from chemo or radiation.

What causes the cells to cannibalize off themselves? This is the question that needs to be asked instead of just arbitrarily using invasive treatments like chemo and surgery. The answer to the above question is the cells don't get the proper nutrients they need to function properly. Are people naturally lacking in these nutrients? No, the problem lies with the delivery system. When the cells don't receive the proper nutrients, they begin to malfunction. This leads to disease and tissue damage - like cancer. The answer is simple and inexpensive - this is why doctors don't recognize it. If people knew how to cure their own cancer without medication, surgery or chemotherapy the medical community would lose billions of dollars per year. Doctors downplay the importance of water. They want you to believe that it has little to do with good health. This is why they're now saying, "drink plenty of fluids". They know that people don't like the taste of water, so they let these people think that anything that contains water is fine - but it isn't. Water substitutes act like diuretics. They pull out as much as 50% more water than what they supply - you're literally drinking yourself dry. Add to this the water lost through respiration and urination and that's a lot of water lost that isn't being replaced. You don't notice it because it's such a gradual thing. But there are little signs such as headache, indigestion, constipation, runny nose and others that people pass off as ordinary nuisances and take medication for - medication that just hides the problem but doesn't address the cause. Medications aren't designed to heal. This is where the drug companies make their billions of dollars per year.
